Michka Chel from Kookstudio Hoeksche Waard, asked us to design a mural for her new cooking studio in a small village near Rotterdam. The theme should, of course, be cooking and food, but the mural should also emphasize the local character of the studio. We decided to visualize the whole process from the local environment, to ingredients, to cooking to finally eating. From the beginning of the stairs, downstairs where the food is being cooked, all the way up the stairs to where the food will be eaten.

Michka Chel, oprichtster van Kookstudio Hoeksche Waard, vroeg ons om een muurtekening te maken in haar nieuw te openen kookstudio in de buurt van Rotterdam. Het thema moest, natuurlijk, koken en eten zijn, maar de muurtekening moest ook het lokale karakter van de studio uitstralen. We besloten daarom om het hele proces van de locatie, tot de ingrediënten, tot het koken en uiteindelijk het eten weer te geven. Deze begint beneden, waar ook gekookt wordt en loopt tot bovenaan te trap waar uiteindelijk het bereide eten wordt gegeten.
